Waiver and Release from Liability

Congratulations—you’re about to join an amazing group of bold, brilliant women who know that life after 50 is prime time for adventure. By signing up for this fabulous getaway, you acknowledge that travel is full of surprises—some delightful (sunsets, cocktails, unforgettable laughs) and some less so (flight delays, lost luggage, and the occasional unexpected twist). While we’ll do our best to keep the good times rolling, participation in this trip means accepting the normal risks that come with travel and releasing the organizers from liability for mishaps along the way. In other words: pack wisely, laugh often, and remember—you’re responsible for your own passport, prescriptions, and wine selections. Let's dive right in...

Preliminary Statement

We are Solo In Style Ltd, a company registered in England under company number 14431080 whose registered office address is Studio 20 14 Feathers Place, London, England, SE10 9NE.  Our affiliate is Team Lipstick, LLC whose registered company number is 80-0175568, and whose address is 533 8th Street, Brooklyn, New York 11215. For purposes of this Agreement, “Solo In Style” shall mean Team Lipstick, LLC, and each of their respective affiliates, directors, officers, representatives, agents, employees, consultants, hired professionals and third parties. The event you are purchasing is therefore governed by the laws of New York State, USA.

Physical Ability and Health Requirements

Our getaways have a great deal of walking to best explore and enjoy each location.  There may be dirt paths, steep hills, stone stairs, and ancient cobblestones.  It is entirely possible that we walk 5+ miles per day, spending many hours on our feet.  We require all guests to have a base level of fitness that allows them to do that.  We ask that you be cognizant of the itinerary and all that you will experience prior to registering for our travel events.

If you have special health issues, mobility issues, or take medications, we ask that you advise us prior to registering for our event so that we can ensure there are no red flags and that you are a good fit for the planned itinerary.  Failure to do so could result in a diminished experience as we may be unable to accommodate your needs.  

Travel Insurance (Required)

To participate in Solo In Style getaways, you are required to have comprehensive travel insurance. Your policy must include all that is below.

• Trip cancellation

• Trip delay

• Trip interruption

• Baggage delay

• Baggage loss

• Medical expenses and emergency evacutation

You agree to obtain comprehensive travel insurance prior to travel.

Cancellation Policy

• Once your deposit is received, there is a €500 euro fee for any cancellation.

• Once your full payment is received, there is no refund for cancellation. We will assist you in re-selling your spot to another Solo In Style member, but this is not guaranteed.  If we manage to re-sell your spot, there is a €500 euro cancellation fee.

• If you decide to switch to a different event after registering for this one, there is a €250 euro administrative fee.

• When making your payment via credit card, there is a non-refundable 4% fee.

Assumption of Risk

You accept responsibility to ensure that you do not behave in a way which causes disruption or offence to others, or risks any loss or damage to property belonging to others or our suppliers. Payments for any such damage or loss must be made at the time, direct to the accommodation owner or manager or another supplier. You indemnify Solo In Style against any claims (including legal costs) subsequently made against Solo In Style as a result of your actions.

If in our reasonable opinion, or in the opinion of any other persons in authority, you are behaving in such a way to cause or are likely to cause distress, danger or harm to any third party or damage to property, we reserve the right to terminate your arrangements without notice. In this situation, your total booking with us will immediately cease and we will not be responsible for paying any costs, expenses, refunds or compensation.

You understand that Risks may be caused in whole or in part by your own actions, inactions or negligence, the actions, inactions or negligence of others, including those participating in Solo in Style Events, or the actions, inaction or negligence of the persons comprising Solo In Style (the persons comprising Solo in Style being the “Indemnified Parties”).

On behalf of yourself, your executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors and assigns, and anyone else who may sue on your behalf, you hereby acknowledge, understand and expressly assume and accept all such risks and responsibility for any damages, liabilities, losses or expenses which you incur as a result of your participation in Solo In Style Events.

Waiver and Agreement Not To Sue

On behalf of yourself, your executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors and assigns, and anyone else who may sue on your behalf, you hereby waive, release and discharge each and every Indemnified Person from any and all claims, losses or liabilities for death, personal injury, partial or permanent disability, property damage, medical or hospital bills, theft or damage of any kind, including economic loss, which may in future arise out of or relate to your participating in a Solo In Style event, or your travelling to and from a Solo In Style Event; even if such claims, omissions or liabilities are caused by the negligent acts or omissions of the persons you are hereby releasing or are caused by the negligent acts or omissions of any other person or entity.

On behalf of yourself, your executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors and assigns, and anyone else who may sue on your behalf, you agree not to sue any of the Indemnified Persons for any of the claims, losses or liabilities that you have waived, released or discharged herein, or that occur as a result of risks you have assumed.

This Agreement

You hereby warrant that you have read this Agreement carefully, understand its terms and conditions and acknowledge that you will be giving up substantial legal rights by signing it (including the rights of your spouse, children, parents, heirs and next of kin, and any legal and personal representatives, executors, administrators, successors and assigns).  You acknowledge that you will sign this Agreement freely and voluntarily, without any inducement, assurance or guarantee, and intend for your signature to serve as confirmation of your complete and unconditional acceptance of the terms, conditions and provisions of this Agreement. This agreement, once dated and signed, will be valid for all Solo In Style travel events that you participate in, through December 31, 2027.

Please sign below to confirm that you have read and understand this waiver, and that you are aware that Team Lipstick, LLC is the affiliate company through which you are booking this event, therefore governed by the state of New York, USA.
