  • What are the fees associated with Mallorca by Design?
Our fees are extremely reasonable. For instance, it would cost just 3,000 euro to hire us to manage an event with 12 guests on board. We book everything, order gifts, do your grocery shopping, procure SIM cards and power adaptors, plan a few surprise and delight moments, plus every guest has our email and WhatsApp to ask unlimited questions. Like we said ... our fees are extremely reasonable. Complimentary - submit your application and receive a detailed email of possibilities, based on your desired preferences. 250 euro - a 60-minute follow up Zoom call with our Founder, Laura. During this call you receive everything you need to book most of your event on your own. If you decide to hire us as your official concierge, we put this 250 euro fee towards your event. 250 euro per person - events from 1-12 guests are 250 euro per person and everyone has access to us if that is your wish. Larger events of 13+ people have a flat fee based on the size and scope. Additional fees - drivers, tour guides, fitness coaches, chefs, massage therapists, and endless other options.
  • What is the minimum and maximum number of guests?
We are happy to manage your event if you are traveling solo! There is no limit on the number of guests after that, we simply hire more staff.
  • What is it like to rent a private villa in Mallorca?
Renting a villa means you will have a more local experience, living in a private home. We can shop for your groceries prior to your arrival, arrange private chefs, have a dedicated driver available to you, organize gift boxes to be placed in each bedroom, and anything else you can think of to make your experience more special. A private villa means you have the entire place to yourself. We can arrange morning stretch classes in the garden, cooking classes on the patio, cocktail making by the pool, etc.
  • What types of hotels do you work with?
Mallorca has no shortage of hotels, all you have to do is decide on the experience you want to have. Seaside, city, village, mountain, small, large, historic. You can even book a stay in a monastery. Our preference is usually to secure an entire hotel privately so that you feel special. The smallest hotel has just three rooms. Prices vary so let us know what you're looking to spend.
  • What time of year is the most cost effective?
June, July and August are the most expensive months to visit. May, October, Easter Week and Christmas come next. This means the most cost effective months are November thru April. Villas and hotels can be up to 50% discounted, as are most Airbnb's. Flights and car rentals are more like 60% discounted.
  • Does the island shut down at any point during the year?
Mallorca is a thriving island with tons of locals and expats living here year round. So no, the island never shuts down. Hotels outside of the city in less traveled areas may close between November and March (each has their own policy), but many stay open. Some tourist attractions like The Pirate Show will shut down as well, but the theater in Palma and more attractions than you could ever enjoy remain open year round.
  • Is there a siesta in the middle of the day?
Definitely, but it's not island wide and if you lived here you'd love it. It means you get to go home to have lunch with your family, or run a few errands. The bigger cities like Palma, Inca, Manacor, and the bigger stores like El Corte Ingles and Zara, remain open throughout the day. Restaurants often close between 4:00pm and 6/7:00pm, and each chooses their own days to be closed entirely. Siesta is usually any time between 1:00pm and 6:00pm.
  • How will the rooms be allocated?
All rooms are private with a private bathroom, for maximum comfort and a bit of solo time. They are each uniquely beautiful in layout and decor ... reserved on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis. The earlier you book the more choices you’ll have.
  • What level of fitness do I need for this event?
Count on quite a bit of walking to explore various cities and villages. We will offer optional daily stretch classes plus a yoga class in Florence for those who would enjoy that. There is also a sauna and heated pool at our private villa. Finally, we are happy to offer an 8 week training program prior to the event to help strengthen body and mind. Most of our optional exercise sessions are barefoot, except for one in Florence where you'll need sneakers. Clothing should be comfortable and “stretchy” or “loose fitting”.
  • What will the weather be like?
May is one of the best times to visit Tuscany. The landscape is at its most vibrant during these times and the weather is particularly pleasant, with temperatures around 63°F/18°C to 79°F/26°C.
  • What is the maximum group size?
    12 women plus 2 organisers.
  • What clothing should I bring?
Casual clothing throughout, comfortable walking footwear, swimwear and workout gear (if participating).
  • Do I need my own travel insurance?
Yes, we strongly recommend that you purchase full personal travel insurance for the duration of the trip.
  • Will I have to share a room?
No, all rooms are solo occupancy with private bathrooms. In Florence, 7 rooms have balconies ... they are reserved on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis.
  • What can I expect from LeveledUP Experiences?
Fitness, adventure, community and travel ... all wrapped up in one powerful package, with elements of surprise and delight. If you want to dive deeper, fill out our application and someone will be in touch to schedule your complimentary and private Zoom chat.
  • What physical level do I need to have to participate?
This is indeed the question we hear most often and the answer is ... All Levels. With 30 years of coaching under her belt, Laura's talent is to ensure that your training is absolutely specific to YOU in a supportive group environment.
  • Is participation in training mandatory?
While we don't actually accept applicants un-willing to train, it is perfectly acceptable to sleep in some days.
  • What do I need to pack?
Each event has a unique pack list that will be sent once you register, so you won't forget a thing. And since we are big fans of "carry-on only" luggage, we help you master that.
  • May I book a private room or do I have to share?
Some people travel with friends or family and they want to share. We try to give the larger rooms to them. If you prefer a private room, there is no additional charge. Prices are per person, not per room, but rooms are first come, first served. The sooner you sign up, the more choices you have.
  • What is special and unique about LeveledUP Experiences?
We vet everyone who travels with us to ensure the most exceptional experience. Our prices are per person, not per room. We eat in a variety of restaurants with no limit on what you can order. There is an enormous amount of personal attention prior to the event, such as an application that is all about YOU, a one on one call with Laura, a fun Zoom call to introduce everyone, a private WhatsApp group, LeveledUP gifts and informational emails. During our events, surprise and delight reigns supreme. And finally, a stellar community is guaranteed, but we ask that you contribute your talents to that community.
  • Is there a payment plan?
Absolutely! After the initial deposit we customize based on what works best for you.
  • How many people will be on this trip?
Our events are generally 12-16 people for a more intimate experience.
  • What if I have special dietary requirements?
We offer Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free, and many others. Just ask!
  • How do I apply and reserve my spot ... what is the process?
First step is to fill out our application. Next, we schedule your one on one call to dive deeper into expectations on both sides. After that, send your deposit and we weave you in to the fabric and community of the event.
  • Do I have to be female to join?
Yes, except for one annual EVERYONE event.
  • Are the adventures for beginners?
First, we get to know everyone prior to the event, so the itinerary reflects what we learned about you. Second, all adventures are all levels. The challenges are more mental than physical, but we won't ask you to jump off a 10 foot cliff without having first tried the 2 foot cliff. And even though we are there to push and support you, everything is optional.
  • Do you have a loyalty program?
Yes ... we offer considerable discounts for those who have traveled with us in the previous calendar year. After your first event, it is possible to never pay full price again.
